Designed as a shell around Microsoft Word, the WebEHR typing platform is compatible with all word expanders and medical dictionary programs that work with Word. Editing functions, including those for speech recognized documents, are also completed within the Microsoft Word program.

While typing all traditional transcription support functions, such as patient or physician searches, can be initiated with function key combinations, virtually eliminating mouse use. Report informa¬tion screens (automatically pre-populated with all of the received voice file and ADT data) display when opening and closing jobs, providing the transcriptionists the opportunity to review, vali¬date and/or update system data as necessary based on the dictation.

Compatible with Windows 98 or newer operating systems (including Windows VISTA), the WebEHR typing module utilizes a standard nine pin or USB foot pedal supported by virtually any sound card connected to speakers or headphones.
