  Voice Recognition

Our fully-functional, front-end, user-friendly Web-CPR voice recognition software, powered by the Dragon Naturally Speaking voice recognition engine, is a powerful tool for increasing productivity and reducing costs for healthcare professionals.  We have built our software around Dragon Naturally Speaking, ensuring the best possible solution for voice recognition.

Web-CPR, FutureNet's Internet/intranet patient record access, delivery, and management system, provides a powerful tool for managing and enhancing patient care.

Advantages of Voice Recognition Using Web-CPR:

  • Multimedia integration with voice, text, and images
  • Thin-client software
  • Server support only
  • Minimization of end-user training
  • Internet/intranet accessibility
  • Voice recognition module for your transcription needs

As the physician is speaking, their words appear on the screen and in the electronic medical records of Web-CPR.  This module can potentially save healthcare organizations a significant amount of money in reduced or eliminated manual transcription costs.  FutureNet's voice recognition module can drastically lower transcription costs, by virtually eliminating keystrokes.  FutureNet's voice recognition module severely reduces report turnaround time, helping healthcare organizations to better manage increasingly high report volumes.

Doctors can pull up patient information in Web-CPR, and then dictate and generate reports immediately.  For voice recognition in Web-CPR, medical professionals may use a variety of different dictation devices, including the Philips SpeechMike, headset microphones, and multimedia microphones.  Our user-friendly web interface allows you to dictate from any multimedia computer with Dragon Naturally Speaking installed.  Our voice recognition module requires minimal training, allowing healthcare providers to start saving time and money immediately.

Physicians can use iSeries for different applications:

Front-end Voice Recognition Application

Physicians dictate into FutureNet's iType software on a multimedia computer, while a voice recognition engine transcribes their dictation.  Physicians can monitor and edit the transcription during their dictation.

Batch Recording and Batch Editing Voice Recognition Application

Physicians dictate into FutureNet's iRecorder software on a multimedia computer or into FutureNet's Portable Dictation Software on a handheld Windows CE-based Pocket PC.  After the dictation session, the voice recognition engine automatically transcribes all dictations.  When physicians are ready to edit their documents, they can use  iType to find all dictations that have been transcribed and listen to their original dictation while editing the document.

Server Voice Recognition Application

Physicians dictate into FutureNet's iRecorder software on a multimedia computer or into FutureNet's Portable Dictation Software on a handheld Windows CE-based Pocket PC.  All dictations are transmitted to the document server where the voice recognition engine processes the dictations on the server side.  Transcribed documents, along with original dictations, are transmitted to transcriptionists for editing via FutureNet's iType and iPlayer software.

Telephony Voice Recognition Application

Telephony voice recognition applications are under development by FutureNet for access to voice recognition technology for all dictations.
