FutureNet's Internet/intranet patient record access, delivery, and management system provides  a powerful tool for managing and enhancing patient care.  iView, the cornerstone module, offers viewing, searching, and printing functions.  With the addition of iSign, iMR and (in a clinical environment) iRefer, a complete computerized patient record is born.

FutureNet has integrated scanning technology into Web-CPR's electronic medical records system.  With FutureNet's Web-CPR document imaging features, you can now scan documents and index them easily into your current electronic medical records.  Document imaging offers numerous benefits to the health care industry including improved access to health records, elimination and reduction of delivery and retrieval time for record distribution, decreases in expenses associated with off-site storage, and higher productivity and reduced costs overall.

Security

Security is of the utmost importance in a computerized patient record system.  The following security features are provided:

• Authentication of user IDs and passwords for login access
• File encryption for communication
• Firewalls for database protection
• Multiple levels of chart security
• Flags for employee data or other sensitive medical information
• Audit trail records that include access by date, time, and user

For Internet access, FutureNet recommends a VPN solution or access through third party services, such as Security Server ID from VeriSign, to obtain an SSL solution for data encryption and transaction security.

iView

As a complete electronic report distribution system, iView offers search, view and print functions to any authorized user connected to the network.

iMR

The ability to view all patient data in one chart is available through iMR.  Through a browser interface, text documents and image files are integrated into a single, easy-to-use chart with finger-tip access to all information from visits to vitals.
